Time for a TIME LINE!
Benny is 24. Warhol is 19. Dash and Leyla are 23. Sirene is 9 (as is Lear).
This means that Dash and Leyla had Sirene when they were 14. They married at 13. As Dash said, getting married and having children at that age wasn't uncommon where they were from.
They moved to their current home when they were 16 and Sirene was 2. Of course, people talked about them and made all kinds of assumptions.

This should also explain a bit about Sirene's views. She KNOWS what it's like to be judged before having anyone get to know her or her intentions and doesn't like to see others go through that kind of treatment.

Benny and Warhol just became LEGAL GUARDIANS!
Because Sirene and Lear are so young, I've always felt there was a bit of a paternal thing going on along with general BFF-ness. (Thanks again for the lovely picture, Tabby~<3)
Since the boys are so close to her parents' ages and remind her of Dash, they'll be the ones Sirene turns to first if she has a major problem. ;3;

And no... Dash is not capable of being serious for too long. XD
(I originally had more conversation planned for a better transition to that, but EVENT!!!)
